Nope. Players just scan the QR code with their phone camera. It opens right in the browser. No download, no sign-up.
Your bartender can add them to the queue manually from the dashboard. They'll still get all the benefits of tracked time and table assignment.
Payments go straight to your connected Stripe account. You receive your full table rate. Players cover the small PoolQ tech fee separately.
Stripe charges a small processing fee on every transaction, and PoolQ adds a $1 per-session tech fee. Both are paid by the player, not you - you always receive the full hourly rate you set. For example, on a $15/hr table the player would pay $16.79, and the full $15 goes straight to your account.
If you already have hardware you'd like to use, we can get you up and running as soon as the next day. If you order our hardware, we ship it within 24-48 hours and typically have you live within a week. Either way, we pre-configure your account with your tables and rates before you even start - just connect to Stripe and you're good to go.
Someone at the front of house needs access to the PoolQ dashboard to end sessions and verify charges. We provide a dedicated login that only has access to the live dashboard and waitlist - keeping things simple and secure for your staff.
Absolutely. You set your hourly rate per table, and you can change it anytime from the dashboard. Happy-hour pricing, weekend rates, whatever you want.
A card is authorized when they join the queue. If they walk out, the session is auto-closed and the card is charged for the time used.
